I am a disciple of the frequencies of Ease and Abundance.
I didn’t decide this one day because it sounded good. Instead the experience of their opposites- stress and scarcity - was something that was having increasingly negative effects on my emotional and physical health. I knew intuitively that it wasn’t the external circumstances that were the problem. Like with everything, this was going to have to be an inside job. And so I began to study these frequencies and understand what they felt like in my body.
Ease and Abundance are states of being in a certain frequency that I have learned to cultivate. I observed what thoughts would invoke these feelings (and as important—which thoughts invoked the opposite). As their disciple, Ease and Abundance have taught me that they are part of my natural state, my birthright. Anything less is not natural.
It is not that I am doing something wrong if I am stressed or in scarcity, it is just that these states are indicators that I have missed the mark, that I have stepped off course. That I am not living in the Truth of who I AM. And so I use these difficult and uncomfortable states to guide me back to the frequency of Ease and Abundance.
I have become one pointed in my commitment to these frequencies. I know when I am in alignment because I can feel it in my body. And when I am not, action of some sort is required to drop back in.
What kind of action?
First of all, I need to stop. Just stop whatever I am doing and tune in to what is going on on the various levels of my being.
Why am I not feeling the frequencies of Ease and Abundance in my body?
Basic body sensations: Am I hungry? Tired? Cold? Hot? Uncomfortable? Overwhelmed by current sensory input? If so, acknowledge these sensations and take a deep breath.
Short term: Attend to these needs as possible to regulate my nervous system. Breathe, move, eat, rest, self soothe in a healthy way. Often this is enough.
Long term, advanced: Learning to acknowledge that I do not have to be ruled by bodily sensations, I AM not this body. The frequencies of Ease and Abundance can co-exist with ‘’uncomfortable’’ bodily sensations. Be compassionate and give myself time to develop and embody this.
Emotional State: Often there are emotional states just under the radar of conscious awareness that are nevertheless affecting my vibrational state. These cannot be simply ignored away. I find they need to be acknowledged and given space to move (as they are often stuck) which can mean sharing, crying, physical movement, releasing. Whatever is needed. Sometimes it can take some time. Move on to the next level of thought hygiene which will support my emotional state.
Thought hygiene: Get clarity on the kind of thoughts I am having. Look at the thoughts behind the thoughts. See especially the repeating looping thought patterns that are keeping me locked in lower vibrational states. As these are identified, it is often necessary to follow them back to their source (personal, inter-generational, collective). The thoughts may be guiding me towards healing. Things need to be acknowledged, emotions allowed to be felt and integrated. But then I don’t have to live in the past forever. I can move on.
It can take a lot of hard work, but it is possible. Yogic and meditative practices train me to observe my thought patterns instead of being so identified with them that they are ruling me. The more this is done, the more the low vibrational mechanical looping thought patterns will naturally dissolve as they are no longer nourished by my attention. Longer term they are substituted with high vibrational thoughts of Truth that lead to resting in the frequencies of Ease and Abundance.
After the earlier steps have been applied, there also comes a time in which certain thoughts are simply not invited into my vessel. When they arrive they are not given attention and nourishment. Like I keep my body clean through personal hygiene practices and eating pure food and water, I do the same with my mind and my thoughts. I choose carefully what I let in through movies, media, people, places. Spending time in Nature is key.
Creative Imagination:
The greatest gift I have at my disposal as a human being is the power of my imagination. It is how I create. When it is said that humans are made in the image of God, this is what is meant. We are creators. Like God. We do it through our imagination. I can use this unconsciously or consciously. Either way I am using the power of my imagination to create. We are all. All the time.
I will be what I am conscious of being. I will have what I am conscious of having.
What does this mean? It means, if I am conscious of being unworthy, not enough, sick, not good at something (fill in the blank), I will be that and I will create that in my life. If I am conscious of not having what I need, of not having enough, of having a problem, I will have those things and create these conditions in my life.
And of course the opposite is true. So I will consciously use my creative imagination to create inner states of consciousness in which I am worthy, innocent, protected, successful. Inner states of consciousness in which I have love, support, radiant health, on and on. I will cultivate inner states of Ease and Abundance and this will become my reality.
The trick is that I can become conscious of having radiant health even if, currently, my body is sick. Of being abundant even if right now I don’t have money in the bank. First comes the consciousness of being or having, then comes the result.
This is a practice. It takes practice. This is a rewriting of everything I have been taught. Probably for you too.
This is what it means when it is said that faith the size of a mustard seed will move a mountain.
