A key to well-being that a lot of spiritually savvy and health conscious women are overlooking.

You know what saddens me and simultaneously sets me on fire?

  • How many spiritually and psychologically savvy women are not in conscious relationship with their wombs (or may not be exactly sure what the word womb even refers to.)

  • How many women who are in the know about health and wellness do not give the same attention to their womb and menstrual cycles.

  • How many peri-menopausal women are seriously desperate and anxious about the changes in their bodies and the inevitable shift into menopause and post-menopause.


It is not that I don't understand why it is like this.  I do.


I know there are many many reasons for this--from very personal to collective, historical, and even political reasons. I, too, am in midlife am experiencing changes in my body and cycle. I really understand...


AND


I want to inspire you to find out for yourself just how important and game changing it is to get into right relationship with your womb, your cyclical nature, your menstrual cycle, your peri-menopausal transition or the post menopausal time. I would love for you to come to know this as a vital part of  your self care as a woman.


I am talking about awakening your Womb consciousness and reclaiming awareness that you hold one of the greatest powers in the universe in your body.


Did you get that?

 

We carry the power to birth, create, and manifest and it situated in our bodies. We have the inherent capacity to transform, recycle, and regenerate on a physical, psychic, and spiritual level. (And it matters not if you have your uterus and ovaries, have had children, or are post menopausal.) 


When we connect to our wombs, we connect to our power, to ancient feminine wisdom, and to our intuitive guidance. We connect to a greater Truth about who we are.

 

I understand that you may not yet relate fully to this experience of your womb.

 

You may be dealing with menstrual pain, endometriosis, fertility issues, difficult symptoms in peri-menopause, sexual issues, infections, fear of aging, body image issues, effects of sexual trauma…. or any number of challenges with your reproductive organs and female body.  I understand and I know it might not be easy.


Yet, if you are curious to deepen your relationship to yourself: simply begin where you are, as you are, right here, right now. 


Simple Womb Awakening Practice


Place one hand on your lower belly and one hand on the center of your chest. Take a few slow deep breaths all the way down into your pelvic bowl. Invite your belly to soften and expand under your hand. Invite your heart to relax and become spacious under your hand.


Let your awareness slowly drop into your womb space and allow yourself to simply be present, listening.  Stay for a few breaths or a few minutes.  To finish, offer a gesture of silent recognition such as ''I acknowledge you. I feel you. I am open to you. I thank you.'' Whatever feels right and true to you.


It can be that simple. Presence and awareness are powerful keys that will unlock transformation and re-connection.
